What is Urgent Care?

Some medical situations with your pet don't qualify as emergencies, but they also can't wait for an appointment at your regular veterinarian's clinic. That's why we opened Aurora Urgent Veterinary Clinic, where we serve as an urgent care center for pets. Think of us as like a human urgent care center, but for four-legged friends instead! Our experienced and compassionate staff members are ready to assist your pet with any non-emergency issue that can't wait, ensuring that they receive the prompt veterinary care they need.

Some issues that we treat as an URGENT CARE are:

Ear infections
Skin rashes and itching
Vomiting or diarrhea
Coughing or sneezing
Not eating
Losing weight
Broken toenail
Minor wounds
Limping
Red, gunky or squinty eyes
New or irritated lumps and bumps
End of life appointments

**As our mission is to help as many pets get the medical care they need in a timely manner, we do not offer vaccinations or elective procedures.

Health issues that require a visit to your preferred EMERGENCY CLINIC include:

Labored breathing
Pale or white gums
Hit by a car or large/extensive wounds
Bloated belly with non-productive retching
Actively bleeding, more than just a slow drip
Toxin ingestion
Collapsed/unable to rise and walk
A seizure lasting more than 5 minutes or multiple seizures in a 24 hour period
A very rapid and steep decline in health
